The Thorny Topic of Race

I did mention at the start I wasn't white - and you may have thought 'ugh what? blonde, blue-eyed but not white?' Well, let me explain - I'm 1/4 African American or Black - so I may look like a white Latina girl, but actually I'm what they used to call back in the old days quadroon or 1/4 mulatta. Some people who are quadroon look like many other biracial people, some like me look almost white - that's DNA for you. In a few weeks I'll be getting back some DNA test results which I'll post on here - they'll let me know exactly what my background is in percentage terms.
